The Ride 18 is yet another one of Saucony’s classic shoes that seem never to falter with what they are expected to provide. On my runs with the Ride, I hardly felt like I was wearing it, with how minimal yet supportive it was underfoot. I will undoubtedly be making use of this trainer for shorter distances and tempo runs, as the removal of excess cushioning makes it feel more responsive.
Saucony’s Ride 18 is a respectable upgrade from its predecessor, offering a lighter running experience. Improvements to its upper and midsole have resulted in a more breathable and plusher trainer, ideal for daily training – whether running or walking around the city.
