In Testing

As a big fan of Asics, the Gel Cumulus 27 did not disappoint my expectations. The heel lock is fantastic and the cushioning is superb during long runs. New ventilated upper material has improved massively in comparison to the previous model. It is commendable that ASICS is actively noting consumer feedback and implementing these changes. I'm comfortable with the 8mm heel drop, which makes it more versatile for runners like me, who are trying to improve their running technique by landing more with a midfoot/forefoot strike.

Verdict

I'm very happy with the Cumulus 27. The feel of the shoe is very comfortable and smooth, perfect for everyday runs. It's also suitable for the gym and daily walking. A great running shoe for those wanting something that can handle plenty of mileage, the GEL-Cumulus 27 returns as a refined workhorse training shoe.
