Welcome to the Run and Become website

By accessing this website you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to them then please do not use this website. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and any such changes will be effective from the time they are published on our website. It is the responsibility of each customer to familiarise themselves with these terms and conditions before placing an order or using our website.

  • “We/Us/Our/Our Company” means Run and Become, Become and Run Ltd
  • “You” means any user of this website
  • “Website” means the website www.runandbecome.com
  • “Goods/Products” means any shoes, clothing and accessories displayed for sale on this website

Placing an Order

By placing an order (though our website / by telephone) you agree that all information provided is correct and complete. All orders are subject to approval and product availability. 

Once you have placed an order we will send you email confirmation with details on goods ordered, cost (including VAT and postage) and delivery details. It will also include details on how to contact us for edits to your order. You must check that all the details on this email confirmation are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.

Please note the email confirmation is only an acknowledgement of your order; it does not form a binding contract. No contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and our company until we accept your order by dispatching the goods to you, notwithstanding that we have sent an email confirmation.

We reserve the right not to accept any order. If we cannot process your order we will inform you via email or telephone, and advise why. Possible causes for our non-acceptance of your order may be due to one of the following:

  • The goods you ordered are unavailable due to stock inaccuracy
  • We are unable to obtain authorisation of your payment
  • You do not meet the eligibility to order criteria set out in these terms and conditions

You may only buy products from us for your own personal use or for gifts. You warrant that products purchased are not being purchased for commercial resale and such reselling is specifically prohibited. 

Order Acceptance

Unless we have informed you that we cannot accept your order or you have cancelled your order (in accordance with Order Cancellation set out below), our acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place when you receive an email from us stating that we have dispatched the goods ordered by you.

Our acceptance of your order will be deemed complete and received by you at the time and date of sending of the email, regardless of whether, for reasons outside our control, you have not received that email.

Order Cancellation

You can cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This allows you to cancel your contract with us and receive a refund if you change your mind about the goods you have ordered. 

To cancel an order before it has been dispatched (and you have received email confirmation of dispatch). Please quote your order number and:

To cancel an order after dispatch you must complete the returns form and return the goods in their original condition. For orders delivered within the UK we will supply a free returns label* for Royal Mail, and you can drop-off the parcel at any post office. If you choose to return the goods via another method this will be at your own cost. You can also return the goods to our branch. 

If the goods are in transit at the time you decide to cancel you order, you may refuse delivery or receive it and follow the steps laid out above.

You may cancel an order up to 28 days after the order has been delivered. The goods must be returned to us within these 28 days. Cancelled orders will be refunded via the original method of payment within 5 days of return, as long as the goods are in their original condition.

*Free returns is not available for Garmin monitors. If you wish to cancel your order for such, you must cover the cost of return yourself. We cannot be held responsible for returned goods that become lost in transit, therefore we strongly recommend you choose a guaranteed and insured postage option.

Stock Availability

Our website only shows stock that we hold. However, on rare occasions we may be unable to fulfil an order due to stock inaccuracies or an issue with the goods. In such circumstances we will contact you as soon as possible and offer any of the following: an alternative product, cancellation of the order, the option to wait until the product comes back into stock.

Stock Condition

Our website shares stock with our shop. Everything advertised on our website is available in our branch. All orders will be dispatched from the shop and some of our shoes will have been tried on during a shoe fitting process.

Stock Description

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, description and prices of products appearing on our website are correct. We reserve the right to refuse orders where the product’s information is incorrect, including prices. All sizes are approximate, although we make every effort to ensure accuracy and provide sizing scales where appropriate.

Product images are as accurate as possible, but due to a number of factors out of our control (such as internet browsers and monitor controls) we cannot be held liable for any differences in appearance between the image and the product itself.

Pricing

Within the UK, all prices are displayed in UK Pounds Sterling and inclusive of VAT where applicable. When browsing our site outside of the UK, you may choose whether to view prices in your local currency or Pounds Sterling. At any time you may see prices in another currency by selecting the appropriate country at the top of our website.

We reserve the right to adjust prices and offers at our discretion.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring the information you enter when creating an account and/or placing an order on our website is correct. If you provide incorrect information you will be responsible for the costs in resolving the matter. We will not take responsibility for goods delivered to an address supplied by you but which is incorrect.

You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity, or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorised to use.

Payment

Full payment for the goods and delivery must be received before we can accept an order. For payments by credit/debit card we take payment from your card at the time we dispatch your order, once your card details have been validated. All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by their card issuer. By using a card to pay for your order you confirm that you are the authorised card holder. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not fulfil your order and will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order.

If we are unable to fulfil your order due to stock shortages, we will not take payment from your credit/debit card and will cancel the reservation of funds request initiated by your order. Your card issuer should then return any reserved funds to you.

Offers & Promotions

You may not use more than one offer/promotion per order. Offers and promotions are not valid in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or sale products unless they specifically state otherwise. Gift cards and nutrition products are excluded from all offers and promotions.

Discount codes cannot be applied to orders already placed.

Please refer to the specific terms and conditions relating to each promotion under Terms of Offers & Promotions. We reserve the right at any time, at our sole discretion and without notice to end, suspend, amend or add additional terms and conditions to any promotion.

Deliveries

Please refer to our Delivery section for delivery timeframes. Delivery dates quoted are estimates; we are not responsible for any delays that occur whilst your order is in transit with the delivery courier. 

In the event of a missing or unreasonably delayed parcel, we will endeavour to trace it with the courier. If it cannot be traced, we will dispatch a replacement or refund your order.

Dispatch times may vary due to availability. If we are unable to dispatch your order within the expected time we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible with an update. 

International Deliveries

All international deliveries are managed by Global E. Please see the International Delivery section for delivery estimates and further details.

For the purposes of the contract, the customer is the importer of record for goods, and as such takes on responsibility for payment of VAT and import duties. Please note our company pays all import and VAT duties on your behalf when dispatching your order. However, in the event of any underpayment in import and VAT duties, it is your overall responsibility to ensure any additional payment is made.

Your Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your information. By accessing our website you agree to these terms and conditions.

Returns

You may return your order for exchange / refund within the terms set out above in Order Cancellation, provided the foods are returned in the original packaging / box, are in a re-saleable condition. If there is damage to goods or packaging we reserve the right not to refund or exchange. Please note, shoe boxes must be wrapped in packaging before returning; shoes that are returned simply in their box, secured by tape, with the returns label affixed to the box will not be deemed re-saleable. 

For reasons of health and hygiene we are unable to accept returns of underwear (excluding bras) and nutrition products.

Refunds

All refunds will be processed via your original method of payment within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods.

Run and Become Gift Cards and Vouchers

Sales of our gift cards are governed by separate terms and conditions, which can be found under Offers and Promotions.

Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom will not be affected by these terms and conditions. Within the United Kingdom you have the right to cancel your order and return unwanted goods for exchange or refund. The start date of your statutory right of return falls on the date of your original order and expires 14 days after receipt of the order. We offer an extended 28 day period for unwanted returns. Please see our Returns section for full details.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights and goodwill in or relating to the contents of our website belong either to our company or to our suppliers. Our logos and custom graphics within this site are the service marks, trademarks, trade names of Run and Become, Become and Run Ltd. All other trademarks, service marks and company names or logos appearing at this site are the property of their respective owners.

Our site and all its contents, including design, images files, text, articles and the layout of content are the property and copyright of Run and Become, Become and Run Ltd, and you may not reproduce part or all of the contents of our website unless it is for your personal, non-commercial use. Any use of the site or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of our company. All rights are reserved.

Any links on our site are provided for the use of the visitor and don’t represent any recommendation or endorsement by our company. We are not responsible for the content of other sites that have links from / to our site. We are not responsible for any legal consequences that arise from you entering into any contracts with third parties that provide such links.

If for any reason any of these terms and conditions are held to be unlawful, unenforceable, or invalid then that condition shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions.

We will endeavour to resolve any disputes with you in a timely manner. If you are unhappy with our service, goods, or any other matter please contact us.

These terms and conditions are governed by English Law which shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction in any disputes between you and the company.

ECO POLICY

Our planet is precious, so we take our impact on it seriously. That’s why your online orders will be delivered in oxo-biodegradable or compostable bags, which will decompose within 3-24 months and therefore are not suitable for recycling. Large packages may be delivered in cardboard boxes.

Click and Collect: This service is available in-store as early as the same day. You will receive an email notification to let you know when your order is ready for collection.

UK Express Delivery

Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday are delivered the following day, excluding Bank Holidays. Orders placed after 3pm are dispatched the following working day. Orders placed at weekends arrive Tuesday (Wednesday if there’s a Bank Holiday Monday). Couriers are either Royal Mail or DHL.

A tracking email is sent on the day of dispatch along with text notification.

Express Delivery London

Delivery via Quiver, who serve 80% of the London area. Once you enter your delivery postcode this service option will show if they deliver to your area.

Orders placed before 4pm Monday to Saturday are delivered the following day before 10pm, excluding Bank Holidays. Orders placed after 4pm are dispatched the following working day.

Delivery vehicles are 100% emission-less. A tracking email is sent on the day of dispatch.

Same Day Delivery London

Delivery via Quiver. Orders placed before 4pm Monday to Saturday are delivered the same day before 10pm, excluding Bank Holidays. Orders placed after 4pm are dispatched the following working day.

Click & Collect

Available same / next day from our London store. Email notification once it's ready to collect.

Orders can be collected any time during the store’s opening hours. Collect within 10 days, after which goods are returned to stock and refund issued.

To collect, please bring order confirmation number and valid ID:

  •     Passport or driving license
  •     Payment card use to make the purchase
  •     Utility bill

You may appoint someone else to collect your order. To safeguard you from fraud, the person must present your order number, YOUR ID (copy/photo of front and back is acceptable), plus their own ID:

  •     Passport or driving license

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

Delivery to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA

Orders are sent via DHL Express. Delivery to addresses deemed ‘Remote Area’ by DHL may be subject to additional delivery charges; in such instances we will contact the customer before processing the order.

Most orders to USA will arrive in 1-3 working days. Most deliveries to Australia, New Zealand and Singapore will arrive in 3-5 working days. A tracking email will be sent on the day of dispatch, along with text notifications regarding the order's process.

Customs / Duty Charges

Deliveries to these countries do not incur customs and duties due to the high de minimus threshold: USA $800, Australia $1000AUD, New Zealand $400NZD, Singapore $400SGD.

Delivery to all other Countries

Delivery managed by Global E. Express or Standard delivery offered for most countries.

Customs / Duty Charges

All Duties and Taxes are included in the cost price (once you've selected your country) to ensure there are no extra fees at the time of delivery.

Please Note

You will receive an email with tracking information once your order is packed and is ready to ship, which typically takes about 24-48 business hours from the time you placed your order.

Whilst we will endeavour to meet the standards above, as delivery is carried out by third-party organisations, we cannot guarantee the delivery times. We cannot offer postage refunds for delayed items.


DELIVERY FAQs

Can I track my order?

Email notification from the courier is sent once your order has been dispatched, with some exceptions. Please contact us for more information.

Can I change or edit my order?

To change your order or edit the delivery address, please contact us. Changes are only possible up until the time of dispatch when you will receive a dispatch confirmation email.

Can I cancel my order?

To cancel you order please contact us. Orders cannot be cancelled after dispatch. Click and Collect orders may be cancelled up to 10 days after the order is placed as long as they have not been collected.

What happens to deliveries if I'm not at home?

If there is no recipient in to accept your parcel, Royal Mail may choose to deliver it to a Safeplace location at the address, if they deem the location to be suitable (even if you have not told Royal Mail of your chosen Safeplace). In these cases, they will also leave a “Something For You” card explaining where the parcel is located. If they are unable to find a suitable Safeplace and cannot deliver to a neighbour, they will return your parcel to the local Royal Mail Customer Service Point and leave a “Something For You” card at the address.

DHL will send you an email before delivering, informing you when the parcel is out for delivery. This email will give you the option to set up a Safeplace in the event that there is no recipient to accept the parcel.

Delivery to Russia

Currently, we are unable to dispatch to Russia.

Reserved Territories

In accordance with their distribution policies, we are not permitted to sell Brooks or Garmin products outside of their “Reserved Territory” which comprises the United Kingdom of Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland) and Northern Ireland. Any orders for products with a delivery address outside of these areas will be cancelled and all payments refunded.

Returns

Purchases made via our website

We hope you love your purchase. If you’re not totally satisfied you may return your order within 28 days for an exchange or refund. Returns outside the 28 day window may be accepted at our discretion.

We are unable to accept any food, drinks, books or underwear for exchange or refund. All returns should be sent back in their original packaging, along with tags and any other printed information. Please do not tape or mark the product packaging. Returns must be in new condition, unworn and unlaundered. Refunds will be credited to the original method of payment within 4 days of receipt. The original shipping charges will not be refunded.

If you live close to our London branch, you may return in person. Our staff will pass on your return to our online sales team for processing. Exchanges will be managed in-store.

Orders Delivered Within UK

We offer free returns except for GPS monitors. Please complete the returns form that came with your order (or email us if you can’t find it), affix the Free Returns Royal Mail label to your parcel and drop off at any Post Office. Exchanges will be sent out at no additional charge by Royal Mail 2nd class. We advise you to keep a note of the tracking number.

GPS Monitor Returns

If your purchase of a Garmin monitor is simply unsuitable, you can return the item but at your own expense. We regret to inform you that we cannot be held responsible for returned goods that become lost in transit, therefore we strongly recommend you choose a guaranteed and insured postage option.

Orders Delivered to International Addresses

You can choose to return via post/courier of your choosing, please enclose the returns slip, quoting your order number.

We do not offer exchanges for international orders, please place a new order if you need a different size.


Purchases made at our retail shop

Goods purchased at our London retail shop may be returned for exchange or credit voucher within 28 days of purchase with a valid receipt. Extended Christmas returns: 14th January 2025. Goods purchased at a reduced price cannot be returned for exchange or credit voucher, unless faulty. We are unable to accept returns on any food or drinks. Refunds will not be given for goods merely unwanted. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Returning Faulty Items

If you have in your possession faulty goods, please return them as soon as possible after discovering the defect and fill in this form. You must also provide the original receipt or proof of purchase. In some cases we may need to refer your returned goods to our faulty returns manager. If they are not in-store when you visit you may need to leave the goods with us, you will then be contacted later with a decision on what options we can offer you. If after the investigation we discover that the product was defective, Run and Become will proceed to replace, repair, or refund you for the product.

Terms of Offers & Promotions

The following terms and conditions apply to all offers and promotions in conjunction with normal Run and Become terms and conditions. Unless stated otherwise, offers or promotional discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, or redeemed against gift vouchers, reduced items, nutrition or books.

Gift Cards & Digital Gift Vouchers

  • The minimum amount to activate the Gift Card is £10.
  • You may use the Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher to make purchases on the Run and Become website and at the Run and Become branch.
  • The Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher is not accepted in The Run and Become Clinic.
  • You may obtain information about the remaining balance on the card at any till point in-store or through Customer Service.
  • You may only redeem your Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher in GB pounds sterling.
  • The Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
  • Refunds will not be given for the purchase of a Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher.
  • The Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher is like cash. Lost, stolen or damaged cards cannot be replaced.
  • All exchanges of goods purchased with the Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher will be made in accordance with Run and Become’s Refund Policy.
  • This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Run and Become will cancel the value of the Gift Card/Digital Gift Voucher if we fail to receive payment from the purchaser’s bank or card company for the initial purchase of the card. Further action may be taken where the fraudulent use of a credit card is suspected. For cash purchases of £1,000 or more we will require proof of identification.
  • Run and Become reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. The current conditions will be available at all times in-store and at www.runandbecome.com.

Priority First Class Delivery within 3 working days (charge £5).

Next Day Delivery available weekdays on orders placed before 3pm for next working day delivery (charge £7.50).

Orders placed Monday - Friday before 3pm will be dispatched the same day.
