Running to Extremes
Mark Hines, experienced Ultra Endurance Adventure Racer and exercise physiologist and biomechanist, is giving a lecture on Running to Extremes at The Royal Society on 17th June.
Knowledgeable doesn't really cover it where Mark is concerned. His background in sports science combined with his experience in extreme endurance racing makes him something of an expert in running fitness.
His lecture covers the physiological and mental challenges of taking on races in extreme environments, and will pull on Mark's own experiences running in deserts, jungles, high altitude and sub-Arctic.
Mark has previously lectured at Run and Become for runners entering the Marathon des Sables, so we can attest to his knowledge and ability to provide would-be extreme runners with some very valuable advice and inspiration.
