Asics are very well known for their anti-pronation support shoes, many models and additions of which I have also trialled. Excited but hesitant, I took to the road with my new GT-1000, and found there to be truth in all that was advertised about its supposed improvements.
My usual heel strike can be quite taxing on the knees when road running, but the cushioning on the GT-1000 14 felt as if effortlessly reducing this impact. I was also able to use the trainer for my gym workouts, without any feeling of instability or discomfort, which also means I now need one less costume change in the gym!
The new Asics GT-1000 14 has far more improvements to its function and design than expected. Fortunately, these changes have resulted in this version becoming the strongest in support so far, making use of the new 3D guidance system.
The incorporation of Rearfoot PureGEL™ materials in the midsole is a departure from Asics’ conventional visible GEL technology, overall ideal running shoe for runners requiring mild support, a lightweight that feels effortless!
