Running Socks

Summary

Running socks made from non-slip yarns so they grip well in your shoes, preventing your feet slipping around as you run up and downhill, plus of course on the flat. Although they're billed as 'trail running socks' we've used them very happily for loads of road runs too.

In Testing

Although these are supposedly trail-running socks, I’ve mostly used them on my city runs and love them. That said, on muddy trails they’ve worked very well, feeling comfortable throughout and washing well afterwards.

I hate it when a running sock is so smooth that you feel like your foot can slide around in your shoes a bit. No chance of that with these, and at the same time they feel kind to your feet – there’s no coarseness at all.

I’ve appreciated how they stay put; they don’t slip down your legs over the hours. They definitely grip your foot a bit more than some others but I never found that constrictive and I’m quite intolerant of anything that feels confining. For me, they compare most closely with Stance socks, just a bit grippier.

Verdict

I’m a fan. They’re comfortable, secure, breathable, durable, and perform nicely for everything from muddy trail runs to commuting runs to fitness classes. As our buyer said, of all the new sock brands we tried out this year these felt the best and have performed really well.
