Brooks Ghost is our favourite wide fitting road running shoe for the neutral runner; offering exceptional cushioning, lightness and comfort. This latest version, Ghost 16 2E, has had some exciting updates. The engineered mesh upper has been improved resulting in an outstanding fit and feel. Plush DNA LOFT v3 cushioning is Nitrogen infused for a super-soft and lightweight feel. 1mm of foam has been added under the heel for an even bouncier and comfier ride.

Upper:
The mesh upper has been engineered to hold your feet securely. This helps to prevent the feet from sliding around inside the shoe, reducing the risk of blisters or discomfort. Its flexibility ensures that it will adjust to your foot shape for a perfect fit. The breathable mesh allows natural airflow to keep your feet cool and dry during your runs.
Midsole:
The new DNA LOFT v3 foam has been infused with nitrogen to provide a softer and lighter feeling underfoot. It also adapts to your unique stride for a smooth and easy ride. The stack hight has been increased by 1mm for increased comfort and better impact absorption. Now built with a 13mm heel drop, this shoe is perfect for any type of foot strike including heavy heel striking.
Outersole:
This RoadTack outsole is made from recycled silica and rubber, reducing waste and promoting sustainability. The combination of rubber and silica creates a hard-wearing and long-lasting material, perfect for use on road. The Crash Pads are segmented to promote flexibility and an easy transition from landing to toe-off.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
