A lightweight and supportive road running shoe from Asics, the GT 1000 15 is designed for runners who are looking for a daily training shoe for running, plus suitability for gym workouts. The responsive cushioning is firmer than our other Asics road running shoes but is still very effective and the lack of a spongey feeling makes it suitable for gym sessions too. The support for over-pronation is medium and helps to keep you running efficiently.

What’s New?
The shape of the upper has been improved and some over-lays removed to for a lighter and more breathable feel. Its foot-hugging design provides a secure and comfortable fit, keeping your foot locked in place and supported, even on longer runs.
Anti-pronation support is delivered by the 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ technology, which provides adaptive stability to help manage over-pronation and support a more efficient stride. This is achieved through a combination of engineered geometries, including a wider platform, higher midsole sidewalls, and controlled midsole deformation, working together to enhance foot alignment and stability throughout your gait cycle.
The outsole now features AHAR LO™, a special low-density rubber that provides excellent traction on the roads. It is combined with AHARPLUS™ which is super durable. These materials are placed in high wear areas so you benefit from improved grip and softness without sacrificing abrasion resistance.

The midsole remains unchanged from its predecessor, featuring FF BLAST™ cushioning. This lightweight foam delivers a soft, cloud-like feel underfoot so you can experience an energetic bounce alongside a smooth and effortless ride. In addition, the PUREGELTM technology placed in the heel is softer than the standard GEL for better impact absorption and softer landing when you hit the ground with your heel.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
