jogScotland has been helping the people of Scotland to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle since 2002. Since then, over 25,000 people have taken up jogging through their local community and workplace groups by using simple, gentle walk/jog/run programmes to encourage everyone to get out and be active. Jogscotland is Scotland's national recreational running network and is established by Scottish Athletics, and supported by NHS Health Scotland, Sportscotland and the Scottish Government Health Department.
It is aimed at those wanting to loose weight, lacking motivation, people looking for new hobby or friends, or simply just wanting to get back to running without overdoing it. It's also aimed at children; with over 1200 primary schools and youth groups across the country using the junior jogscotland resource pack to help get the youngsters enjoying physical activity so much that they make healthy choices as they grow up.
They have different training programmes, challenges and even volunteer possibilities, so everyone can get involved.
Don't put it off - get fit, lose weight and make new friends today with jogScotland

Exercising regularly boosts energy levels, enhances self-esteem and aids long-term weight loss. What's more, being more active has a host of specific health benefits including reducing the risk of heart disease, certain cancers, strokes, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and osteoporosis.
So what are you waiting for? A slight change in lifestyle can make a big difference to health at any time, regardless of age, fitness level or ability.
