Maurten is inspired by a desire to create more effective sports nutrition, combining athlete feedback and scientific research to produce an ever-evolving range of products. Their patented Hydrogel Technology – in drink mixes and gels – allows for fast, efficient absorption of carbohydrates into the bloodstream, without causing stomach distress. Maurten products are based only on natural ingredients – built from alginate, which is extracted from the cell walls of brown algae, and pectin, as found in fruit and vegetables. This enables athletes to sustain performance comfortably, while consuming more carbohydrates per hour. Their Solid range also provides a complement to these products.
