Part 1 Fuelling for Performance

Lessons from Sawe at the London Marathon with Rebecca Palmer

Rebecca PalserThis session breaks down how Sabastian Sawe fuelled his record-breaking performance at the London Marathon 2026, and – more importantly – what you can learn from his approach.

We’ll focus on the elements that directly influence race-day performance: carbohydrate loading, pre-race breakfast and in-race fueling. The session will also cover gut training – how to build tolerance so you can execute your plan under race conditions.

The aim is to give you clear, evidence-based principles you can apply in your own training and racing to improve consistency, energy delivery and overall performance. Rebecca is  a Registered Sports and Exercise Nutritionist (SENr) with a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Nutrition, who specialises in endurance sports.
