Think regular Clifton on steroids – in a good way. Hoka's Clifton Pro has a high stack-height and max cushioning, but it’s propulsive rather than pillowy.

I don’t normally wear Hoka shoes as I’ve felt they don’t always suit my feet; however, I was pleasantly surprised with the Hoka Clifton Pro.
I would say that the shoe comes up true to size and the toe box is roomy too. I had previously heard that this shoe described as ultra-cushioned, and though I am a neutral runner I do sometimes worry how stable ultra-cushioned shoes normally are. and if they are going to feel heavier and more clunky. It turns out the Clifton pro is stable for a neutral shoe, super cushioned and very lightweight.
I can say that they felt very natural while running. The rocker technology in the midsole allowed me to roll through nicely and drove me forwards. The extra padding in the heel meant that I experienced no slipping and I didn’t have to over-tighten the laces.
Overall, I would say this is a great shoe for anyone who is looking to do a lot of mileage or coming back from an injury, as the cushioning provides protection for the joints. Coming back from a hip injury, the Clifton Pro offers me the comfort and protection I need on my longer runs. The rocker technology feels very natural, like I’m not even wearing a shoe! It's perfect for anyone looking for a slightly faster shoe that is well-cushioned, yet stable (for a neutral shoe) and still very lightweight.
