Carbon are lightweight, low profile and low volume insoles, great for a performance oriented runner, someone who prefers not to feel the support or someone who doesn't have much space in their shoes. The carbon fibres in the plate are strong but very lightweight and together with the ultralight foam create a light but strong insole that will help you perform better.
