Description
The 2E extra wide women’s New Balance 860 anti-pronation road running shoe has been updated for enhanced support and comfort. The upgraded upper delivers a super comfortable, secure fit with excellent breathability. Underfoot, the Fresh Foam X midsole with increased stack height provides plush cushioning, while the stability plane and higher sidewalls work together to absorb impact and offer reliable, efficient support for all-day comfort.

Upper:
The upper has been engineered to provide a secure, comfortable fit while keeping your feet cool and breathable during runs. A gusseted tongue adds midfoot lockdown to hold your feet more securely in comfort. This lightweight construction ensures unrestricted movement, letting you focus on your stride without distraction. Additionally, the reflective details enhance visibility for added safety on the road.
Midsole:
The improved midsole with two layers of compounds is designed to provide premium cushioning, support and durability for high mileage runs and everyday use. The upper midsole layer - Fresh Foam X promotes soft step-in comfort and absorbs the impact from running on hard surface. The firmer layer under the heel runs to the forefoot is the stability plane, deigned to help correct your over-pronation and keep your gait in naturally straight alignment.
The offset is now lower - 6mm to encourage your midfoot striking which has less impact on your knees, hips and achilleas and endorse your natural movement. In addition, the stack high has been increased to offer you more step-in comfort and plush ride.
Outersole:
Durable rubber has been strategically placed on the outsole in high wear areas to increase durability of this excellent trainer. It also offers excellent traction on any road surface.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
