Description
This 13th edition of the ever popular anti-pronation shoe from New Balance, the M860, gets a few improved features. The upper is now upgraded with a premium mesh made from recycled materials, enhancing the fit to give you a plush feel. The new Fresh Foam X is New Balance's softest cushioning for ultimate comfort and a smooth ride.
Details
The improved upper is now strengthened with overlays to give additional support for a secure fit. It's made from 50% recycled materials but maintains its technical characteristics and premium feel. The perforation helps to maintain breathability. The new gusseted tongue keeps your foot in a lock-in structure.
The midsole has been improved with the new Fresh Foam X technology. A softer and more responsive layer has been inserted on the top and bottom to give a more ‘alive’ ride through the stride. The built in medial post is crafted from a firmer foam, and is placed under the heel and arch to decrease any excessive rolling inwards of your foot. It also keeps your body in balanced alignment. The combination of the two different density materials in the midsole provides a soft landing with responsive take off.
Bio-based content in the midsole is approximately 3%, sourced from renewable resources to help reduce the carbon footprint.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
