Battersea Park Race Details

The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team has been organising races in London since 1981. As a family of running enthusiasts we welcome competitive club runners, seasoned trailblazers, fitness lovers and novices. At all of our races you will experience a warm welcome, a supportive team of dedicated volunteers, efficient and professional race management and flat runner-friendly courses.

Registration

Register online – your race pack will be sent out the week prior to race date. No on-the-day entry.

Find us next to the café and opposite Millennium Arena running track on East Carriage Drive SW11 4NJ. Accessible from Rosary Gate at junction of Queenstown Road and Prince of Wales Drive, turn right as you enter the park. Postcode of Rosery Gate: SW11 4BE. Alternatively enter via Chelsea Gate on Queenstown Road and use the path immediately inside the gate on the left to come around the back of the running track.

• All Races are UKA Certified accurate, with UKA Permits
• Water station on the course
• Baggage can be left safely at Race HQ
• There are 3 toilets within the park, the closest to Registration is 300m away from HQ
• Showers are available at the track, cost £3
• Car Park is free on Monday evenings but costs £2.70 from 9am on Saturdays (Parkmobile.co.uk)
• Post-race snacks on Saturday morning races

• 10K: 15 yrs

Directions

By Car: Enter Battersea Park through Rosery Gate (SW11 4BE) which is accessible from the junction of Queenstown Road and Prince of Wales Drive. Inside the Park turn left into Rosary Gate Car Park. Once you've parked re-trace your steps back towards the entrance and continue straight, past the traffic barrier. Race HQ is a blue tent 200 metres along East Carriage Drive just beyond the Cafe. By Train: Nearest overground train stations are Queenstown Road and Battersea Park (direct links from Waterloo, Victoria and Clapham Junction). From either station it is a 8 minute walk to Race HQ: walk north along Queenstown Road. At roundabout enter Battersea Park through Rosary Gate (SW11 4BE) . Turn right inside Park, past the traffic barrier, along Carriage Drive East. Race HQ (blue tent) is 200 metres along, just past the Cafe.

By Tube and Bus: The nearest Tube station is Sloane Square (District and Circle Line). From Sloane Square Tube station walk 3 minutes to Lower Sloane Street and take Bus 137 from stop M. Get off after 3 stops at Chelsea Bridge (just over the bridge). Cross the road and enter the park (Chelsea Gate) turn immediately left down the path beside the railings, keep straight along the path till it comes out behind the athletics track, a bit further along it joins the Carriage Drive and our HQ is to the right.
