In Testing

I was extremely excited to try these shoes out and they did not disappoint!

I have been looking for a lightweight speedier shoe to wear on race day, and something I can also use occasionally for shorter tempo runs. I am not really a fan of the stiffer plated shoes that can often be quite pricey, so I thought I would give the Endorphin Azura a try.

The majority of running shoes I have worn currently are – or have been – brooks so I have become accustomed to their wider fitting design. When I first put on these shoes I was surprised by how wide and roomy they felt in the toe box especially as Saucony shoes can be on the narrower side.

I really noticed the rock of the midsole which felt like it was propelling me forwards. The foam was super springy and energetic offering me that extra bit of bounce too!

I was also struck by how stable the Endorphin Azura felt for a lightweight and speedier shoe.

Verdict

The Saucony Azura is a great option if you’re looking for a fast shoe without a plate. It performs well on tempo runs, offering a balance of softness, lightweight comfort and responsiveness. The shoe feels springy underfoot and helps to propel you forward, giving you that extra bit of bounce, so that you can perform at your best.
