In Testing

I found these shoes very comfortable and light. One of the features I especially like about the Hoka Challenger 7 GTX is the meta–rocker which creates nice roll through onto the forefoot. The grip is great for light trail running and the GORE–TEX element keeps my feet nice and dry in the rain.

The fit is slightly on the narrower side, so runners with wider feet might want to consider sizing up or trying it on before purchasing. Alternatively, the standard (non-waterproof) Challenger 8 comes in wide fitting for men and women.
