The Runner's Spring Toolkit: Training That Works for 5k/10k 

Join us for an inspiring evening focused on helping you improve your 5K and 10K performance. Led by Mornington Chasers coach Stephen Campbell, this interactive practical and Q&A session will offer easy-to-apply training insights for runners of all levels.

Stephen will share expert guidance on how to structure your training and get the most out of every session, including:

  • Key runs to incorporate into your training
  • Speed endurance sessions, such as Intervals and Tempo efforts, and how to use them
  • Understanding base, build, peak, and taper phases
  • Injury prevention, strength & conditioning, and recovery
  • Footwear choices: plated vs non-plated, lightness vs stability, and shoe rotation
  • We will follow the Q&A with a coached Tempo effort run around St James's Park, giving you the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice.

Here’s how the evening unfolds:

  • 6:30pm – Kick things off with a lively Q&A
  • 7:15pm – Easy jog over to St James's Park
  • 7:30pm – Time to put it into action with a Tempo run
  • 7:50pm – Cruise back to Run and Become
  • 8:10pm – Well-earned refreshments and a good chat
  • 8:20pm – Last chance to pick Stephen’s brain with final questions
  • A perfect mix of learning, running, and good vibes 🙌
