Akasha is La Sportiva’s highly cushioned trail running shoe designed for long and ultra-distance training and racing. Akasha uses Trail Rocker technology to promote a smooth rolling motion from heel to toe and an Injected EVA and Cushion platform midsole provides fantastic shock absorption and comfort no matter how long you’re on your feet.
Details
The wide internal volume of this shoe means it accommodates the foot as it swells over long distances. Soft breathable and snug fitting uppers with slipper sock construction eliminate pressure points and offer comfort.
Dynamic ProTechTion™ reinforcements provide protection and structure following the foot in a dynamic way and without constrictions. The dual mix FriXion XT sole provides hardwearing grip and an Impact Brake System absorbs impact, helps traction and improves grip downhill.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
