The new LaSportiva Akasha 2 offers you increased comfort, durability, and stability without compromising its existing properties. Tackle any trail terrain with the sticky rubber FriXion Red outsole. The improved upper webbing works with the STB stability system to hold your feet secure and comfortable.
The improved mesh upper ensures breathability and helps transmit heat from the inside of the shoe to the outside. It also provides a secure hold. The Dynamic ProTechTion toe bumper and the TPU panel reinforcements create protection for your feet without restricting your movement.
The midsole is composed of three different layers to offer you maximum comfort. The top layer, the Otholite Hybrid insole contains 20% recycled plastic. It keeps your feet ventilated and dry thanks to its breathable PU foam.
The EVA injected foam in the second layer is designed to provide you with a high level of cushioning. The injection of EVA into the midsole prolongs the life of this excellent running shoe, maintaining spring and response without getting compressed over time.
The STB Control System assures stability on uneven trail surfaces.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
