In Testing

Being someone who tends to mildly overpronate, I found during short slow runs, these shoes held up in terms of stability, so I was off to a good start. I did immediately notice the wider base and that wasn't a huge issue for me as it ensured my gait was held correctly, without rolling too much inwards.

I was more blown away – practically swept off my feet by the cushioning – amazed that it was constructed using two variation of materials, not that I could differentiate between the two. Moreover it was the 'floating' sensation that I felt with each stride, so that made the experience enjoyable and fun.

I made sure to put these shoes to test in various scenarios. They felt great during long walks – I ventured off road a little whilst walking my dog through woodland areas, then along the Thames path where I was greeted with gravel. The comfort really only increased throughout the day. Another time was during a gym session and running on the treadmill proved a little too bouncy for my liking!

Verdict

For those in search of a shoe that combines both comfort, stability, and durability, the Mizuno Wave Sky 7 might be the one for you!

It has the capacity to be a stable/neutral running/walking shoe, and is pleasantly adaptable to many lifestyles.
