6 reasons why trail running is for YOU

To pinch from Mr W. Shakespeare, ask me where I run and I’ll tell you over hill, over dale, thorough bush, thorough brier, over park, over pale, thorough flood, thorough fire.

Well, maybe not the last two, but you get the idea. We were not made to run like hamsters on a treadmill, and this world of concrete we’ve created is alright, but few would call it paradise. Head for the hills and your running will improve, your spirits soar and your lungs’ll offer up gratitude.

Trail running routes are closer than you think. Whatever city you live in you can’t be more than a 30 min train journey to some serious countryside. The UK is full of stunning hills and dales, so make sure you see some of the country you live in, and there’s no better way than on your feet. Get a couple of running mates to join you one Sunday morning and I guarantee it’ll be a run you won’t forget and will keep hankering for again.
