I mentioned the importance of sun block protection. There are so many brands of suncream to choose from but there are some crucial factors to consider when choosing. SPF relates to UVB protection, UVB rays result in burning. SPF does not reflect UVA protection, and that’s what can cause cancer. You’re looking for Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide; mineral rather than chemical sunscreen. Chemical suncreams absorb sun rays, mineral sunblocks deflect them, last longer, and are healthier for your body.

Great advice for summer running, can you recommend a sun block for running as I'm training for a marathon.Regards

Hi Mary,For daily use I'm a big fan of Eco Cosmetics Sun Lotion as it feels so lovely on the skin and doesn't have that suncream smell, but when running I've found it runs off nicely when I'm sweating, so not so practical for training! This summer I was going to try their Surf and Fun Extra Waterproof as I reckon that will work better.
The other good one is All Terrain Aqua Sport SPF30 which will last about an hour.
Both call themselves Suncream but they work like Sunblock in that they are natural and safe to use.
Good luck with your marathon training.
