New Balance have collected and used data from real runners when updating their extra wide 1080 4E neutral road running shoe for the wider foot. Based on that data, they’ve made the full length Fresh Foam midsole softer and more cushioned than on previous versions.

Details

A blown rubber outsole offers additional cushioning and responsiveness. An Ortholite insole offers underfoot comfort and softness.

A new 3D designed Ultra Heel improves fit and increases comfort around the heel.
The upper is a double jacquard mesh - a performance textile engineered for a perfect fit. The midfoot wrap is designed to hug your foot while allowing room for toe splay. Bootie construction prevents debris from entering the shoe.
