This improved with 3x more waterproof protection and breathability — Janji Rainrunner Pack Jacket is made from a lightweight ripstop that provides total weather protection while 360º core ventilation allows for unparalleled venting. Janji strategically designed the Rainrunner for high-output performance by reducing unnecessary bulk or components and prioritizing lightweight weather protection. The unique panel venting system acts as an air-intake on the chest while the vents under the arm and across the back release heat from the core to prevent that swampy overheating of many waterproof layers. Articulated sleeves, cuffs and hood stay in place in motion without the need for additional adjustment of bungees or pulls. 360° reflectivity will increase your visibility when running in the dark. Three zippered pockets — including a packable left side pocket with elastic carry strap — and a new snap closure to stow the hood make the Rainrunner an essential layer to bring wherever you go in case of variable conditions.

More About Janji

Janji was founded over 10 years ago by two college track mates (Dave & Mike) in the city of Boston. Their aim was to create a brand that had a purpose beyond high-performance gear and actually used running as a mechanism to give back to communities. That's where the name 'Janji' originated from – it means ‘promise’ in Indonesian. Their promise was to expand access to clean water around the globe.

Each season is inspired by a location. They then also partner with a water charity in that location and donate 2% of every sale to support their clean water projects. Sustainability of the brand is a key pillar in how Janji was founded. All of their materials are either Bluesign Certified, OKEO-Tex certified or both. More and more of their products each season are being developed using recycled fabrics. Their DWR finish is now completely PFC-free, while still maintaining the same 30k waterproof rating.
