JOIN NOWNamed after ultra runner champion Karl Meltzer’s nickname, Hoka One One’s women's super cushioned trail running shoe, Speedgoat 4, features some exciting updates. The lugs on the Vibram Megagrip outsole have a new 'stepped' shape to repel the mud and prevent clogging up the grip. The upper on this version 4 has a more accommodating fit and is reinforced with a 3D print to offer you extra comfort and security as you stride out on uneven terrain.
Hoka has made a few small improvements on the forefoot and the upper of Speedgoat 4 to deliver a more comfortable and secure fit. A small winged component has been integrated in lacing eye-rows to keep your foot secure in the shoe. The gusseted tongue, with the strategic cut-outs, delivers more breathability to keep your feet healthy, and offers you an extra comfortable fit.
The midsole of the Speedgoat 4 is updated with a new lightweight foam to make this running shoe 29g lighter and in addition offer you a more responsive ride.
The Vibram Megagrip features zonal rubber, which is reinforced in specific areas to enhance durability. Futhermore, the new 'stepped' lugs on the outsole are designed and placed in a configuration that will, with each step you take, shake away the mud from your shoes. Thus ensuring you feel light on foot and confident in stride thanks to the incredible traction of Speedcross 4, even on the toughest of muddy trails.

“Built by runners for runners”, Hoka running shoes elevate your potential on the trail, on the road and everywhere in between. Founded in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, Hoka is a Maori word meaning ‘to fly over the earth’. When you’ve felt the Hoka difference, you’ll know just what they mean…
Hoka is committed to maximum cushioning when running, while maintaining lightness and springiness. This winning combination has led them to wide popularity.
Their shoes are engineered to deliver improved breathability and comfort, while facilitating a smooth running gait with the early-stage Meta-Rocker.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
