Books for Runners

Runners are provided with plans for 50 km, 100 km, 24h and multi-day races (which could be of use also for marathon training as this one is not so much different) and shown how to achieve these performances. The book also contains information on nutrition and typical injuries, as well as tips on equipment and useful internet links.


The author is a high-performance running coach, and looks after diverse ultramarathon running groups ranging from beginners to junior international level. He plans and leads the German Ultra-camps, to which up to elite ultramarathon specialists are invited. He is also responsible for all sports and high performance-related issues concerning the German Ultramarathon Foundation Championships in a voluntary capacity.

  • The author: Wolfgang Olbricht - a passionate ultra distance runner who completed more than 70 ultra distance races, including a Spartathlon (raced over 153 miles with a maximal time limit of 36 hours) and finished over 50 marathons.
