JOIN NOWThe carbon plate build in the midsole saves your energy by reducing your ankle joint movement and propelling you forward onto your toes instead. The other way Mataracer saves your energy is Guidesole technology, which encourages a fast and smooth heel-to-toe rolling transition.
The Flytefoam midsole features Asics' lightest cushioning with its resilient feel. In comparison with a traditional racing shoe, Flytefoam has been added to the midsole of Metaracer to provide you with extra protection and a softer feel underfoot.
The engineered mesh upper with the angular pattern is designed to enhance the air flow around your foot and that way keep your foot cooler. A hydrophobic treatment of the upper prevents the mesh absorbing water. The drainage ports wick it away to offer you greater moisture management and a feather-light feel.
The Wet Grip Rubber technology on the outsole delivers outstanding traction even in wet conditions.
Metaracer comes up small so you'll probably need a half size bigger than you take in standard trainers.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
