Asics Gel Cumulus 24 GS

Kids' Neutral Road Running Shoes

£75 £52 (Save 30%)
Description

The Cumulus 24 GS is Asics' premium neutral road running shoe for children. This latest edition provides the flexibility and cushioning that young runners need when running on the road or other hard surfaces. The Rearfoot Gel in the heel absorbs the shock of landing and flex grooves in the sole allow you to move through the stride seamlessly.

Details

The visible Rearfoot Gel in the midsole, underneath the heel, absorbs impact from running on hard surfaces. The specs of the shoe are designed to provide a smooth ride. This incorporates the full stride, from landing phase through to toes off, to encourage fluid, unrestricted motion.

The removable insole can be replaced with an orthotic if needed. New environmentally friendly dyeing processes have been used in the production of the sock-liner: carbon emissions have been reduced by approximately 45%, water usage by approximately 33%.

The breathable upper keeps the feet in a secure fit. The padded tongue and heel collar lock the foot in a comfortable and protective hold.

  • Engineered mesh upper provides breathability and lush fit
  • Rearfoot GEL™ technology absorbs impact and delivers a softer feeling underfoot
  • The sock-liner is produced in a solution dyeing process that reduces carbon emissions by approximately 45% and water usage by approximately 33% (in comparison with the conventional dyeing technology).
More About Asics

Asics is named after the Latin phrase ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’, which means ‘A Sound Mind in a Sound Body’. The brand has lived up to its commitment to promoting healthy, fulfilling and sustainable lifestyles around the world for over 70 years.

They have stood out for their innovative character, especially in the sports and sustainability area, creating the ASICS Institute of Sports Sciences in Japan, for which they have obtained several external recognitions. In 2020, they launched their first running shoe collection made from 100% recycled polyester fibers (PET bottles). By 2030 their goal is to use 100% recycled polyester.

As a result, ASICS continue to surprise us with their wide range of road and trail running shoes, active wear and athletic wear. They continue to be one of the market leaders, with well-known models such as the Gel Kayano and Gel Nimbus.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.

LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.

SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
