The GT-2000 10 2E wide is Asics’ reliable well-cushioned road running shoe designed to comfort an over-pronator with broad feet. This tenth edition GT-2000 is built on a lower 8mm heel drop to encourage a natural ride. The improved upper contains 30% recycled materials to help sustainability.

Details

The upgraded knit mesh upper is made from 30% recycled materials to support the environment. It is also breathable, seamless and engineered to offer the feet a secure structure with increased comfort.

The Trusstic and Duomax technologies in the midsole have been melded together into one LiteTruss piece to deliver a smoother, effortless ride along with stability to decrease over-pronation. The medial side and midfoot are made from a denser material for improved stability.

The soft Flytefoam Propel foam promotes outstanding rebound. The new 3D midsole design assures gender specific cushioning for improved comfort. An average female runner is lighter than a male runner, and the midsole deforms less in the women's GT 2000 10. The 3D technology encourages more control in the gait cycle. The forefoot Twist Gel and the Rearfoot Visible Gel create a softer feeling underfoot in high impact zones.

The new stability construction allows full ground contact when the foot lands. The Ahar rubber outersole is made from tougher sticky materials to prevent slipping and increased durability.

  • Engineered knit upper is designed from recycled materials
  • LiteTruss combines Trusstic and Duomax technologies for smoother and lighter transition
  • Lasting-Flytefoam cushioning layer attenuates the impact
  • Rearfoot visible gel in the heel for greater shock-absorption in area of highest impact
  • Ortholite X-30 insert is anti-bacterial
  • Ortholite features 5% recycled rubber content
  • Ahar rubber outsole for improved durability
  • Offset: 8mm (heel:22mm, forefoot: 14mm)
  • Weight: 280g

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.

LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.

SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
