The revolutionary InovArch technology is a dynamic arch phenomenon, which enhances a link from your feet to your brain to encourage your body awareness that naturally promotes a better step cycle. This promotes your natural gait in a more balanced and less stress inducing way.
The GuideRail technology is placed on the inside of the shoe. It is a triangle shape reinforcement which stabilizes your foot at the heel bone and thus limits inward movement of your knee. This way your foot is guided in a natural way. Because the GuideRail feature works only when you need it, Provision 4.0 can be worn not only by over-pronators but also by neutral runners.
Provision 4.0 like all Altra shoes features zero drop and a foot-shaped fit. The wide toe box allows the toes to spread and keeps the toes in a straight position for better stability and a powerful toe off. The zero drop midsole keeps your heel and forefoot on the same level. This encourages your natural body alignment, improves your running technique, and helps strengthening your lower leg muscles.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
