With Nisha Harish: a little woman with big ideas, and even bigger goals.
During this talk at Run and Become, Nisha will share the personal journey of how, having run marathons across New York, Paris and even the Great Wall of China, she went on to set bigger, more ambitious goals. These ranged from climbing the highest peaks in Western Europe and Africa, to becoming a stand-up comic and performing in front of hundreds of people. Recognised by Ernst & Young as an outstanding achiever, the real test came from an epic journey that took her from Central London to one of the most inhospitable climates in the world – the Moroccan Sahara.
Having endured the nightmare of being lost in the desert; challenged by the harshest conditions imaginable, Nisha will share what went wrong during her first attempt at the Marathon des Sables.
The sheer grit and determination it took to return to complete the race in 2015, as well as the lessons Nisha learned along the way, are captured in her first book, Big Steps, Long Strides. Her incredible story is based on the premise that with bold steps, anyone can achieve the seemingly impossible.
Nisha’s book, Big Steps Long Strides is due for release in March and will be available for purchase through Amazon. You can follow her on Twitter @nishaharish.
