Chi Running Level 2: Half Day Workshop

Wednesday 1st March 2017

1:00pm - 4:00pm

Millennium Arena, Battersea Park, Albert Bridge Road, London, SW11 4NJ

£50 person (£45 before 20th March)

This workshop is open to everyone who has already attended a Chi Running Workshop with Balavan or another Chi Running instructor.

There are many stages to learning Chi Running. The first stage is to learn the basics in a Chi Running Workshop. This is just the starting point however. The next stage is to work on bringing all the techniques into your running until they become second nature. Once the basics are mastered it is possible to bring in more advanced techniques to make your running more energy efficient.

With this in mind, in the level two workshop at first we revise the basic techniques to help everyone make sure they are doing them correctly. Then we start to introduce new techniques to help everyone to take their running to the next level.

The new techniques include:

  • The advanced circular leg action (blending with the force of the oncoming road)
  • Pelvic rotation
  • The sandpit exercise
  • Using the recoil motion in your arms and legs
  • Foot care
  • Matching your breath rate to your cadence
  • Low heart rate training
  • The Mindful Run
  • Symptoms of improper technique
  • Mid foot strike
  • Hills
  • Relax more to run faster

So if you feel you are struggling with your Chi Running, or are doing well but want to improve even more, you are welcome to come and learn how to take your Chi Running to the next level!
