Following the success of the October workshop, a newly structured session is back. Space is limited to 12 places.
A self help class for runners. Myofascial release has been shown to help relieve and relax the tight muscles and tissues every runner experiences. In this workshop, Anna Harty will offer some simple self help techniques to runners with the use of exercises and foam rollers.
Myofascial release (MFR) is a method whereby gentle sustained pressure is applied, via props or physical touch, to areas of restriction. It can be a very useful tool for injury prevention. In this workshop we will look with more depth as to what MFR entails and how you can utilise it personally to help keep your tissues free from issues! Expect to come away with a greater understanding of what fascia is and practical methods to apply to your own training and recovery regimes.
Anna is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a keen interest in its usefulness in sport.
