An Evening of inspiration for Runners training for this, or any similar long distance trail event.
We welcome first time Fling runners, and those who survived other ultras and weren’t put off, but now want to improve.

What is the Highland Fling race?
Fling race director Jonny Duncan will give a short history and overview of the race
How to train, and how not to train for the Fling race
Rachel Normand 2018 Fling ladies' champion and training partner Nicola Duncan, 2nd at the Fling and 1st at the 2018 Devil o’ the Highlands race will talk on their experiences of training for last year’s event. The things that worked and some of the things that didn’t!
How not to get injured or overtrain for a 50 mile event
Neil MacNicol, Coach, Masseur, experienced ultra runner. Adrian Stott, experienced ultra runner and current team manager with the Scottish and GB ultra distance squads.
Some tips and ideas for the gear and equipment you could need training for and completing a 50-mile trail race.
Highland Fling Question Time
Nicola and Rachel will be joined by John and Neil for an all round question and answer session, on any topic related to ultra distance training and racing.
