Matt Holland brings Improve My Running to Run and Become. Matt will be offering brief one to one advice to help you achieve your running goals. You can receive simple on-the-spot advice on your running style and training, which will be invaluable. If Matt identifies a more deep-seated issue, he may recommend visiting his clinic for a full assessment.

About Matt Holland

Matt HollandMatt is a Master running coach and advanced therapist who specialises in rehabilitation and performance, helping you move better, run better and run faster.

He has worked with runners of all abilities to improve their form and performance, helping them run more efficiently be less injury prone. His west end clinic specialise in biomechanical analysis and movement screening and is an accredited running school of The Running School London.

On foot from the city centre:
We are a 200m walk from the west end of Princes Street. Keeping Edinburgh Castle/gardens on your left walk to the end of Princes Street, Frasers Department store is the last shop on your right. To your right, Ryans bar/cafe is on the corner. Queensferry Street is the street going down the left side of Ryans bar - heading towards Dean Bridge and Queensferry Road. We are 200m further down on the left hand side of the road, beside the Clydesdale Bank on the corner of Melville Street.

By train:
Ideally situated a half mile walk from Haymarket Station for trains from Fife, Stirling, Glasgow and Livingston. Or 3/4 mile from Waverley Station. From Haymarket Station - Come out of the station and walk straight ahead into West Maitland Street, heading in the direction of Princes Street. Continue straight at the junction with Palmerston Place (Starbucks and Boots flank the junction). Elegant crescents open out on both sides shortly after this and the road becomes Shandwick Place. Continue past the shops to the West End - see the more detailed walking directions above - Queensferry Street is a left turn just before you reach Princes Street. From Waverley Station - Exit onto Princes Street and walk to the left (west) in the direction of the Castle. When you reach the West End of Princes Street follow the walking directions above.

By bus:
Any bus serving the West End (coming from within Edinburgh, or outside) will stop within a short walk of the shop. There are convenient bus stops from all areas that will let you off in either Queensferry Street itself, Shandwick Place, Lothian Road, or Princes Street. Then follow the walking directions above.

Parking opportunities:
There is ample pay and display parking in Melville Street, which generally has good availability of spaces and is right around the corner from the shop. Pay and display costs £2.20 per hour and has a maximum stay of 4 hours.
