PAAC was formed in 1956 by a group of local athletics enthusiasts. The construction of the Pitreavie Stadium encouraged the local athletes in all disciplines and since then the Club has become one of the major clubs in SA catering for Men and Ladies of all ages and abilities, from 9y.o. upwards. The club has excellent facilities and highly qualified coaches, and their athletes have competed at all levels up to Olympic games.
The club achieved lots of success in their beginnings, for example on the 8th June 1963, Janet Lowe won Pitrevie's first ever Scottish Senior Ladies title by winning the 100yds on her home track at the Pitrevie stadium. And they keep striving!
New runners are welcome to come along and sample the sessions before joining the club."
