Fife AC was formed in the early 70's from the amalgamation of several clubs in North East Fife. The club takes in Central and North East Fife, with training groups in Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Cupar, and St Andrews. The aim of the club is to promote all aspects of athletics throughout the age range to both sexes and for all standards. From the beginning promotion of the sport for children has been important to them, and groups for children are run in these areas from primary school upwards.

Fife Athletic Club caters for runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. A large percentage of their membership consists of both juniors and veterans.

The club has a strong presence in the East of Scotland cross country league and its members regularly feature in the Scottish hill running teams. They compete in road running and track & field.

Their training groups are based mainly in the Central and North- East area of Fife, but they have members throughout the country.

FAC promotes more annual races than any other club in Scotland (ca 25).

Our Aims are:
That all of our members enjoy themselves regardless of their ability.
That the club continue to encourage youngsters in the sport.
That those in the club enjoy the friendship in the sport.
That Fife AC enjoys its share of success."
