Central AC was established in 1974 and operates from 3 training centres: Stirling, Dollar and Balfron. Now, with more than 300 members it's one of the largest athletics clubs in Central Scotland and the premier club in the Stirling and Clackmannanshire areas.
The aim of the club is to provide coaching support and competition to its members and it encourages athletes of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals. The club has a number of coaches who operate on a voluntary basis and cover most athletic disciplines.
To join, the runners aged 18 and over are welcome to turn up at their regular training sessions and have a go. The club is happy for the newbie's to come along for 3 weeks to see if they like it. To continue after the runner has to become a member. The admission of the Junior runners is through a development pathway (more info on the website).
Parental help is always appreciated, so instead of dropping off your children or watching from the sidelines, why not come and lend a hand? To ensure the continued success of the club parental support is essential.
