Benedetta's experience as a marathon runner and massage therapist have made her popular with local runners looking to 'iron out' any aches and pains.

Benedetta, Italian born, with 16 extensive years of treating runners, has trained with leading bodywork practitioners worldwide. Personal experience as a marathon runner adds an extra dimension to her experience in treating running problems and in advising on stretching regimes. Quiet, professional clinic dedicated to balancing and relaxing tense, tired and painful muscles, through a wide range of techniques including hydrotherapy, infrared lamp, and professional body massager, as well as active isolated stretching and muscle energy techniques. She is also trained in Dry Needling Acupuncture, Trigger Point Therapy and in Kinesio Taping - all useful tools for treating runners. Organic massage waxes used contain arnica and vitamin A.

Massage helps prevent injury. It also enables runners to recover from injuries faster. Sports massage can enhance performance, can help recovery after hard training and it maximizes the quality of rest time. Sports massage also promotes tissue repair and nutritional supply to the muscles. It should ideally be incorporated within a running schedule. Runners are welcome to contact Benedetta to discuss their needs in advance and will get a £5.00discount when they bring this page printed.

Why Run and Become? I always recommend Run and Become because it is the backbone of the running community in Edinburgh and has pioneered the way for runners. The shop has a fantastic range of products and the staff are all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Run and Become inspires people to run as a way of life and a philosophy.
