Sebastian AdamczykRecovery, relaxation, injury prevention, and performance enhancement

I am a level 4 sports massage therapist. Having worked with a variety of clients I believe in holistic approach to fitness. There are four important areas every athlete should focus on: training, appropriate recovery, relevant nutrition, and positive mental attitude. Sports massage can definitely aid recovery after training/competition by reducing muscle soreness, removing metabolic waste products, increasing tissue extensibility, and improving circulation. It can also supplement training regime and prepare for competition, both physically, and mentally. However, sports massage is not only aimed at athletes. People from all walks of life can benefit.

Being a sports enthusiast myself, I constantly broaden my knowledge in the area by attending seminars, workshops, and reading around the topics of athletic preparation, nutrition, recovery, and injury management. I am also a physiotherapy student at Cardiff University. Studying physio gives me additional insight into human anatomy and physiology which translates very well to my sports massage experience. My clients are of different age groups, various ethnicities, and different levels of fitness, so everybody is welcome. I also had a chance to work as a personal trainer and a performance coach in the US, helping other athletes to excel in their disciplines.

In my free time I use every opportunity to move. I am a keen runner, cyclist, and hiker. I also ski, snowboard, kitesurf, play tennis and squash, and do some weightlifting. I really enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors, so sitting at home is certainly not my cup of tea. I am always enthusiastic about meeting new people, so sign up for a session and let me help you to achieve your goals.
