The FT4 has all the basic heart rate features runners need and is a fully-featured everyday watch too. Polar's "owncal" feature enables you to track your calorie consumption, so you can manage your weight and ensure you are eating enough to fuel your training.
Heart rate is displayed either in Beats Per Minute or as a percentage of your maximum HR. You can manually set a heart rate target zone, with both visual and audible alerts to tell you when you have gone outside your chosen upper and lower limits.
