Run and Become, in partnership with Nordic Balance, presents a new series of running workshops. A running-specific SAQ (speed agility quickness) session, including plyometric work to improve your race times. Monday 23rd April, 6.30-8pm, at our London store.

Barefoot Running Clinics

A technical and practical workshop, these clinics are designed to give you an opportunity to create your own individual barefoot running programme with all the important information and advice that you need. There will be a practical part to the clinic, so bring your running gear and barefoot shoes! Tuesday 27th March, 6.30-8pm, at our London store.

London Marathon: A Month To Go, Time To Taper

This session will concentrate on a stretching routine for the Lower Back, Abdominals, Glutes, Hamstrings, Quads, ITB, Calf and Tibialis anterior muscles. Plus your chance to meet experienced sports physios Barry and Nathan and receive help and advice with any injuries or niggling aches and pains you might have. Monday 26th March, 6.30pm, at our London store.

Edinburgh Marathon Mondays: Gravity Training

Build your core strength! As part of our partnership with the Edinburgh Marathon, we will be featuring a new topic most Mondays, aimed at runners training for the event. On Monday 12th March join expert Brian Dickson at our Edinburgh store to find out more about core stability training with Gravity Fitness machines.

London Marathon: Getting Ready for the Start Line

Workshop with Martha Wiekens – Injury Rehab Specialist & Running Coach. Includes: assessing your running technique, injury prevention tips – for use before and during the marathon, quick and effective release techniques – getting rid of tension build up in the body due to intense training sessions. Run with Ron

Following the success of his October visit, running legend Ron Hill will be paying another visit to our Edinburgh store, at 6.45pm, Wednesday 28th March. Come and meet the man who is arguably Britain's greatest marathon runner.

5 Simple Speed Sessions

The legendary New Zealand coach, Arthur Lydiard, who was one of the modern pioneers of distance running, used to advocate long slow distance (LSD) to build strength and endurance, but speed work to train the heart to adapt to a harder workload and help you run more efficiently. To make you run more efficiently don't just think you have to pound out mile after mile at a steady pace.
